Cedefop's Information and Documentation Service is collecting and disseminating information about vocational education and training (VET) in the European Union, both from the Member States and from European and international organisations, since the Centre was founded in 1975. A diversity of methodologies and diffusion tools are used in parallel: bibliographical databases, databases of institutions, documentary dossiers, online information retrieval, etc. and over the years a variety of user-friendly technologies have been introduced to facilitate the work.
ERIC provides unlimited access to more than 1.2 million bibliographic records of journal articles and other education-related materials, with hundreds of new records added twice weekly.
EAEA is a European NGO with 128 member organisations in 41 countries working in the fields of adult learning.
Eurydice provides a vast source of information, including detailed descriptions of how European education systems are organised and how they function and comparative studies covering various aspects of education systems, such as the funding of higher education, language teaching, the teaching profession and so on. This information is provided free of charge.

Much has been written about ICT and e-learning in recent years, and it is safe to say that the sheer volume of net-based research papers, articles, good-practice and general technology-related information is more than a little overwhelming. Websites such as the Excellence Gateway aim to draw together relevant practitioner-facing resources and information, but who has time to look?
Web for the knowledge. There it is possible to find data, documents, laws and links about education as well as employment and social cohesion.
