The project idea is the result of a previous transnational exchange during the development of a G2 project, in which partners have realized, that they have similar needs regarding the maintenance of adult people on training courses, although final beneficiaries have peculiarities connected to each partner context. The most important difficulty concerns the fact that every country uses different teaching methodologies related to the national rules. The proposal aims therefore to homologize such methodologies using a common ground, that would also allow the exchange of teachers/trainers and of competences at a European level. For this reason the simplest solution, keeping in mind the positive experience of the ECDL, is to create a training/educational course that allows teachers and educators to use the same training methodology at a European level. Such methodology is concretized in the CPD course. To spread the development of such a course and the results of the project, the most practical tool was the creation of a transnational online network. There are multiple advantages for the members:
The project will last two years, starting 1st December 2007 until 30th November 2009. The first and necessary activity of the project will be the set up of research, that could offer a range of information and results related to national rules that partners have to follow in order to develop courses for adults. A list of good practices will initially be collected by partners and then spread at a European level. A teaching bank will collect good practices and methodologies applied all over Europe. The results of the research and the teaching bank will be included in an educational tool kit. The aims and results of the project activities will be published on the project website as well with the organization of a final conference. Project sustainability will be granted by the creation and the development of the transnational online network, that will be maintained after the end of the project. To improve the diffusion of such a methodology and to increase the results of the project, the CPD course will be proposed via the Grundtvig programme “mobility for individuals”. The activities of the project are divided into Workpackages (WP) explained in detail on the website. Partners come from Turkey, Latvia, Germany, UK, Sweden and Italy.
