ARCs model for motivating learners

Keller advocates that there are four stages to motivating the learner, through grabbing their attention, and then maintain their interest by making the learning relevant and developing the learners' confidence.  For future motivation it is important that they are satisfied with what they have achieved.

Blended Learning

There are many advantages when combining online learning with other forms of learning methods, for example:
·         Offers a range of learning tools and learning experiences.
·         Different techniques can be utilised by maximising different technologies.
·         Deliver content in the best way possible, to meet different learning styles.
·         A new learning experience, over basic traditional teaching methods.
·         Learners are more stimulated because of the range of methods/activities and therefore more motivated.
·         Direct face to face contact is available where it is best utilised.
